Fireblades for rotor blades, life for the living, however you spin the words the 10th anniversary of the East Anglian Air Ambulance is worth celebrating and worth going that extra mile to help keep them going for another 10 years.
Once again the Bury Bike Show chose this worthy cause to raise funds for and once again you came out in force, actually so many of you turned up that our car park was full to overflowing. Unlike last year, the weather was ideal for riding out and your interest helped us to bust our previous years total to raise a staggering £3443.77 on the day. Our thanks go to Maxmoto and Smart Rider for funding the Show as sponsors and to Greene King for the use of their facilities.
With plenty of bikes entered into the Show categories our thanks go out to Bury MAG for judging an impressive range of machines and for managing the car park. This year we asked the public to give us their best bike in show and we thank Eric Young for his donated prize of a one hour action photo session. Check out the photo gallery.
Not only was there a diverse range of gleaming machines from your local dealers you could also pick up new lids, leathers and gloves, even a trailer for your bike. In the new display section of the show, as well the different categories of bikes you could have seen Michael Hunter giving trials bike exhibitions during the day.
Those of you who felt peckish no doubt sampled the food from the caterers (I didn’t think you could get that much bacon into a roll!) thanks for a great job. Tea or a beer to wash it down, did I really mention TEA; I must have been distracted by the music provided by stretch or was it our sponsor’s glamorous ladies who were wandering around. |
